Where's the neck?

So we just got back from Tucson. Took the girls and went to the in-laws house for turkey day! It was the first time since Hannah was born that we have been out that way for Thanksgiving. That is our normal holiday that we spend out of town.
Thanksgiving was great! All the food.... yum! I think I gained 10 pounds on Thanksgiving alone! And I still have Christmas with my folks before they go to my brothers, then Christmas here!
On to the title of my blog and what it means!
My in laws are very proper. I love them though.... I am still my crazy self around them. I think after nearly 8 years.... they have accepted the person I am.
So, my husbands Godparents were in town for the holiday too. My mother in law makes the dressing, stuffs the bird and puts the rest of the dressing in another dish. Nancy, Woodys Godmother says "you should have put the turkey neck on the dressing to keep it moist" Ceil, my mother in law, says, "thats a good idea!" Nancy, "Where's the neck?" Ceil, "Where's the neck?" Woodys dad "Its in the trash, it is wrapped up in plastic, want me to get it?" and he walks away. Me, "By wrapped up in plastic are you meaning wrapped in the garbage bag?" Woody "So your gonna dig shit out of the garbage?" Me: "Um.... I think I am gonna pass on the dressing this year!" Ceil: "we will rinse it off" Just then my father in law walks up to the sliding glass door with the turkey neck in his hand. Woody "HE DUG IT OUT OF THE OUTSIDE TRASH!!" Me "and you guys thought I was ghetto?!" Needless to say, we all had a great laugh! And I dont think we will ever let my in laws live the turkey neck down!!
On a side note, I ate the dressing that was inside the turkey!

Subway... eat... what?

Finally, the Subway story!

Last weekend we were in a local Wal-mart looking for a filter for our humidifier. We saw Subway and thought, "That sounds good!"
Keep in mind from previous posts that my hubby decided to try and quit smoking and so he was on his man period at the same time! It was like walking on eggshells.
So we argue about who is gonna go up to the counter to order. I lost, up to the counter I went to order.
I ordered for me, a 6in BLT. The girl behind the counter, no lie, put 2..... TWO pieces of bacon on my sandwich! I said "Um, can I get a little more bacon on that?" SHe says "Its gonna cost extra!" WTF... cost extra for more than two freakin pieces of bacon?! My response "I dont care if it costs me extra, I would rather 4 pieces than 2!" So I paid 50 cents extra for TWO more pieces of bacon!
On to the fixin's. "Lettuce, could you take about half of the lettuce off. I mean 4 pieces of bacon, dont want to out do that with all that lettuce, I already have the bread for that!"
Woodys sandwich... the Albuquerque Turkey. That sandwich contains, turkey, 2 pieces of bacon, cheese, avocado and then the fixins. I get turkey, cheese two pieces of bacon and fixins. I was charged seperately for the albuquerque turkey, then bacon, cheese and avocado (in which I did not get). Woody threw it away! Jerk, right! Told you.... man period!
So I write to the Subway office and inform them of what took place at that Subway. My last line is probably the reason I still have yet to hear from them. I said, Subway boasts about Jared loosing weight on their sandwiches. He was probably eating at that location!!

I dont think I will dine at a Subway for some time!

You dont know me....

Before the subway blog, I gotta get this off my chest.

Have you ever come across the one person that believes they know you all too well but really dont? How about the person that makes you the butt of the jokes without knowing if in fact you can take it?

I gotta say I got my feelings hurt today.... cause someone apparently doesnt know me the way they think they do.

Some how while I was minding my own business at work, someone walks up to me laughing saying "how many times were you married"? Me being the way I am threw a few F bombs that persons way, and told them it wasnt their business!

Then thinking about it, I let them know the following (which is true, so you readers may learn a thing or two about me):

I have been married three times.
My first husband, thought it was cool to beat up on a girl. After many years of getting the shit kicked out of me, I married him and it lasted all of 8 months before I was the one charged with Battery. I bravely left without looking back, black and blue from head to toe!
My second husband, thought cheating and doing drugs was the manly thing to do. He tried to kick my ass once, but I beat him up and left. I was tired of providing just so he could go take his girls out and spend the money on his drug and alcohol habits.
I am now on my third marriage. It seems to be working out just fine. We have been married over 6 years now.
If this one doesnt work out.... that is it... I am switching teams!

All is true but the last line. So ask yourself this..... how well do you know a person before poking fun at something that may really hurt them on the inside. Cause ladies and gentleman, being married three times is NOT my proudest moment! I am soooo ashamed of it. I really am, and before anyone can throw stones, ask yourself if you too would have stayed married to either one of those men?!

ok, my rant is over.... I had to get it off my chest... cause well... it hurt and frankly, it still does!

And others things I have been doing

Well... besides mourning the loss of the NKOTB tickets (post below), I have been up to just about everything else too. My littlest one has been dealilng with chronic ear infections. A total of 8 or 9 since starting daycare on June 2nd. I have an ENT appointment this Friday. I plan on asking for tubes rather than waiting for them to suggest it. It is sad to think that I forget what my child is actually like, how happy she really is.
Payton, now will say some words... Bye.... c'mon, MINE, Hannah and her personal favorite... NO! She will say a few others here and there but really, why say anything at all when your big sister talks for you all the time!
I have not smoked a cigarette since Sept 6th!! I have had a few drags here and there when I drink, but it tastes nasty then, so I would rather not smoke at all! Yey for me!
I am poor..... very poor... what else is new!
Hannah started a dance class and comes home every Monday talking about the things she learns at dance class. Not very exciting, but it makes her day, so whatever... I will pretend to be happy for her.
What else....... I will be moving after the beginning of the year... kind of excited for that. Where, I dont know, but its a for sure that we are moving.
I got all the time back I earned when I went back to work full time! So exciting!! So I get 28 days off in 2009! Go me, right?!
It is coming up on the busy time at work, I have not had interest in the computer other than to post stupid status messages on facebook or myspace.
So, that is what I have been doing. I havent even had time to be the nosey neighbor I once was. My husband, recently decided to quit smoking and I will tell you what.... that man should really invest in some Midol while not smoking!! Wow.... talk about man period! It's rough! I dont quite like him without his nicotine! The big A to the double S comes to mind... (love you sweetie!)
Um... enough rambling for now.... I must go get my kid to bed!
I will be back again real soon..... promise!

Oh..... idea..... my next blog can be my rant about subway!! ugh! punks!

No, I did not die....

I am simply mourning the loss of my New Kids on the block tickets still!

Let me fill some of you in......
And no laughing while I tell the story.

In the 7th grade, I was picked by a friend to travel to Dallas to see my first concert ever.... New Kids in the Block. They came with the group Perfect Gentleman. I was allowed by my parents to go.... whew.... first plane ride, first concert. I was livin large!!
Here it is all these years later, and I hear NKOTB would be coming to my hometown! YES!!! How awesome is that?! Tickets were selling at a rate more than I cared to pay, so I told myself, the only way I would be going would be if I won them off the radio.
I played my cards right, one Monday morning, when my favorite radio show was giving away 5th row tickets.... that is close enough to push my way to center stage and get some sweat beads off my not so manly boys! Sweet..... I won the tickets! 5th row!!!
My heart was broken only a week later by the news that those little eff'rs cancelled the Albuquerque show! What?! You mean, my guys didnt want to play for the 1300 people who got tickets (most of which were probably won)?! But still, I actually cried tears when I listened to the same station I won them from, inform the listeners that they had cancelled. A woman, 33 years old, crying over some dudes that meant the world to her at 13! I am 33, who cares right?! I do!!! I wanted to see them, still after all these years!!!
So close........ so close to seeing them after all these years!
No words can tell you how I feel.........

The girl who was offensive

I never realized how much a 5 year old could offend people. Whoa..... 5!! My baby turns 5 on Sunday... close enough to say 5. Anyway....
Hannah goes to a Christian Pre-K. They have learned "The Lord's Prayer" which starts off "Our father, who art in heaven"... my child was chosen out of 25 other students to stand up and recite it amongst all the other kids and parents at daycare. She starts her prayer "Our father and my mudder who are in heaven", people laugh.... she goes on to say "and bring us dinner"...
I then tell her what a great job she did and told her that I would reward her with McDonalds... her favorite... the lady at the drive thru says Hi sweetie how are you?! Hannah responds with "When I get older I dont want to work at McDonalds like you, I want to be a doctor!" Poor thing, I know what she was trying to say.... she has her mommas sense of talking without thinking!!
Another quick bit, the other day, I grab the girls from daycare. I am in the middle of cooking dinner and Hannah says "Mommy, I have a bandaid in my ear" I said you did what?!!! She said "I have a bandaid in my ear" I said well how did that happen? her response was " I was on the playground and didnt want to litter so I put it in my ear!" I said, go sit down at the table and wait for me to pull that crap out. She responded with "I will spank myself for you!!" ANd sure enough, after digging around, I indeed pulled out a bandaid from her ear!! Me, not thinking before I speak said "You do not stick anything in any hole on your body, do you understand?" Yes mommy.... and the conversation was over!!

Babies Everywhere!

So little Sean is on the climb upwards!
My other friend I spoke of had her baby girl last night. She was 5 pounds 3 ounces. Great for a baby who was born at 34 weeks.
Today a friend from work had her baby, a girl, at 37 weeks, 5 pounds 13 pounds.
I have another friend expecting a boy, early next month too....
December brings another boy....

And me, well I will just enjoy all the little ones around me! :o)
No more babies for me... EVER!!!! ahhhh.... that is a sign of relief! lol

Sean.....

I have to make this a fast post but wanted to update fron yesterdays post.

Baby Sean is doing ok today. Seems the doctor that told my friend about how bad off the baby is, was the doctor on shift for the weekend. He never really knew how baby Sean was.
As of today, the regular doctor has talked with the parents and she says she (the doctor) is not ready to give up on him. She believes that he will get through this and that this is all "preemie" issues. They can not find a source of an infection, leading them to believe that there is not one. His kidneys ARE working as he is urinating on his own.

Prayers are paying off..... keep praying!

I will update soon!

Hurting Heart

My heart is hurting today....
I work with a gal that gave birth to a baby boy at 27 weeks. He weighs 2 pounds 5 ounces and is 14 inches long. It looked promising. He has some surgery on his intestines and still has 98% of them. He was breathing with just a nasal cannula.
Saturday, he took a turn for the worse. He developed an infection and they found his heart was not working the way it should. The parents were told they were going to need to make a decision. The doctors could not promise his quality of life. By the end of the day today, his parents were not ready to make such a decision, had a second opinion, and that doctor gave them a ray of hope.
My hurt is hurting today for another, almost similar reason....
One of the girls I have known the longest in my life, is 33 weeks pregnant. She too is having some pre-term labor issues. She is on medication to reduce the effects of her going into labor, and has been tested positive fetal fibronectin.

My heart is hurting because two of the nicest people I know are both wondering what they have done to have this happen to them, and they are blaming themselves. While one has to leave her baby boy in the NICU everynight, the other is facing having to do the same thing.

My heart truly hurts because the people that shouldnt have children are able to continue bringing life into this world. Because the children are the ones who has to suffer when their parents dont want them. My heart hurts, because the nicest people in the world who seriously want children are unable to bring them into this world. The people that cant get pregnant, for whatever reason, things happen and they are unable to carry to term.

While I am glad I have never had to face such a situation, I feel bad at the same time. Like I feel guilty that I was able to bring both my children home when I got to leave the hospital. And looking back on it, I would much rather have to go through all the problems that I had with Payton over again, than to have to live a day in either one of my friends shoes.

My heart hurts because, I cant tell them I know what they are going through.... I cant help them, all I can do is be there for each of them and listen to their hopes and fears.

I can tell you, I pray alot... I pray for miracles everyday! I believe the power of prayer can heal. For those that remember we received a miracle with the power of prayer in Paytons early days. Any one who reads this, I ask that you pray to whoever your God is. And ask that these two mothers, two fathers, and these two little babies heel and are strong enough to make it through this hard time. Pray for the families of them too.

I will keep you all updated. I know God has a plan for all of us. I just pray it is in his plan to keep these innocent babies from visiting him anytime soon.

9/11

This was too good not to repost:
I took it from 100.3 the peaks website.

a poem by Cheryl Sawyer entitled "One"
As the soot and dirt and ash rained down, We became one color. As we carried each other down the stairs of the burning building, We became one class. As we lit candles of waiting and hope, We became one generation. As the firefighters and police officers fought their way into the inferno, We became one gender. As we fell to our knees in prayer for strength, We became one faith. As we whispered or shouted words of encouragement, We spoke one language. As we gave our blood in lines a mile long, We became one body. As we mourned together the great loss, We became one family. As we cried tears of grief and loss, We became one soul. As we retell with pride of the sacrifice of heroes, We become one people.
We are One color One class One generation One gender One faith One language One body One family One soul One people
We are The Power of One. We are United. We are America.

First Regret?

I proudly boast that I have no regrets.... until now!
I believe my first regret would have to be giving up a part time night job to work full time and put my kids in full time daycare!
My oldest daughter, its been great! I couldnt ask for a better school.
My youngest, thats a different story. She has been there since June 2nd and in that time I am now on week three that she has not been on antibiotics. So sickness is pretty rampid in that daycare.
Since she started, she has had many different teachers. I gotta say I have had my favorites. But there is one teacher that is just a floater. She is a floater for a reason!! This girl has the biggest attitude I have ever come across! Today she has pissed me off beyond belief!!
I walk in to find my kid has pulled both shoes off and taken one sock off. The girl couldnt even get up to greet me as I walked in. She sat the entire time as I searched for my kids sock.
I asked if she knew where my kids sock was, her response was "Payton, where is your sock?" Um... your asking a kid to tell you where their sock is and she doesnt say anything but uh oh and hi? I am betting she will just bust right out and tell you where that sock is!! So I snickered and said, Um, your not really thinking she is gonna tell you are you? She continued to sit there. I said well is there a possibility that you could get up and put it in her box if you find it? Her response was "yeah"
SO I go to Paytons box to get her blanket and things to take home and notice that the extra shorts that I have in her box are gone. I asked about the shorts... her response "I just got here" Yeah because I give a shit when you came here.... could you look for the fricken shorts?
Needless, to say, I must calm down, before I call to file a complaint. I picked them up over an hour ago and I am still pretty well hot headed!
Should be an exciting conversation that I have with the director!!

"Bro"

What makes a white guy think they can constantly use the word "bro" while playing xbox live? I mean, I play Guitar Hero and dont find myself using ghetto talk? But my husband, his favorite word is "bro".... and he is the whitest guy I have ever met!!
Just thought I would throw that out there.....
Off to go drink me some drinks....... bros and bitches!!

911 Call

My recent call to 911.... at 2 AM

Dispatcher: Sandoval Regional Dispatch, what number are you calling from
Me: um.... 859 - 7*** (cause we have vonage, we dont show up)
Dispatcher: what address are you calling from

Dispatcher: Whats your emergency
Me: This is not a prank call, there is a guy in a white t shirt stealing my neighbors trampoline
Dispatcher: a trampoline
Me: yeah, dumb right?! Could you hurry up and get someone out here, I would really like these guys taken down.
Dispatcher: I will stay on the line with you until officers arrive.
Me: Um... how long? They are working fast
Dispatcher: They are almost there. If the officer is looking at your house what neighbor?
Me: There is only one neighbor.. could they hurry?
Dispatcher: DO you see the vehicle?
Me: yes its a truck
Dispatcher: Can you tell the make and model?
Me: Its dark..... so No
Dispatcher: What color is the vehicle
Me: Again, its dark, so I am gonna go with... DARK?!
Dispatcher: OK my officers are coming up the street
Me: Oh crap
Dispatcher: Do you see my officers?
Me: No, they are leaving
Dispatcher: The officers are leaving?
Me: No the crooks are leaving
Dispatcher: They drove away?
Me: Yes, they are headed west on Sugar
Dispatcher: We have several units in the area, did you need to make contact with the officers?
Me: I need to smoke, so sure. I will meet them out front.
Dispatcher: Have a good night
Me: you too

I go outside to meet the officers and get this............. THE CROOKS DROVE BY!!!!!! LMAO!
So needless to say, they were caught with half a trampoline in the back of their truck.

I think the award for stupid criminal goes to these two... for getting away... and returning to the scene for the other half a trampoline!!!

Grrrrrr.....

I believe I have blogged about this before but here it goes again.
I am bugged and have to vent.
Anyone who knew me pre hysterectomy would know that I was high strung. I was a hand full. I told it like it was. In short, I was a bitch!
I got the hysterectomy not because I wanted to but because it was something that had to be done.
After 6 months, I am soooo not the person I was. I dont know.. sometimes I feel good about that and then there are times like tonight when I think it was a bad thing.
I let people walk all over me now, I am quiet, I am not social. I am mellow.
Its like in the past 3 or 4 months I have slowly opened my eyes to the way, I look at things. Prolly also helped that karma came back and bit me in the ass. I just really dont care anymore if I have friends or not. I dont care. I know that sounds bad, but I dont have time for bull shit. Those who are still in my life, know who they are and those who are not also knows it. But right now I feel like I try with certain things that just are not going anywhere. Why do I care?
Why do I feel like I am a totally different person? Why do I feel like I am the only one that sees the good in me these days?

A Crappy Feeling

If you haven't read "Nosey Neighbors" read that post first.

Here is the crappiest feeling in the world:

Saturday night we had friends over. Everyone left around 11, so we locked up and went to bed. The only thing we can not swear to locking was the dog door.
6am like clock work Payton is awake. I grab her and head down stairs. I get to the bottom of the stairs and notice the blinds on the sliding glass door are open and the door is unlocked. In front of the dog door are a pair of Oakley sunglasses that are in three pieces. I think ok, that is weird. I start looking around.... if someone was in the house, they had to have taken something. As I am checking closets and the bathroom to make sure no one is hiding in them I notice the garage door to the house is opened. At this point, I KNEW someone had been in the house. I would never leave that door open.
So Woody comes down and I tell him, "Someone broke into the house last night" He gives his best "What are you talking about" without saying lady you are on crack comment. I start explaining everything to him and he goes outside to investigate. The side gate is open, another something we never leave open. And he says to come out there. The screen on the window had been taken off and bent. Someone decided after they got the screen off that they could make it through the dog door and just let them selves out when they were done.
Nothing was taken... nothing at all! We speculate that they came in thinking we weren't here and went to the garage to open it so they could wipe us out, and realized two vehicles were in there and decided to bolt.
Last night, we got NO sleep. Every little creek and sound we were up pacing around and checking to make sure no one was here. I was so scared that I wouldnt even get up to the let poor dog out when he had to go. I dont know what I will walk into.
Today coming home from work was the hardest and most scariest thing I have ever done. I pulled up to the house, took a deep breath and entered. I checked all closets, rooms, everything. I started crying because I think a person should not feel like that upon entering their own home.
It is scarey... it sucks. I dont like the feeling of wondering when I am gonna come home to an empty house!

Chicken Nuggets

Daycare really has Hannah speaking her mind more than usual these days. We live probably 3 to 4 miles from daycare. On a recent car ride home, as we are leaving daycare Hannah politely demanded the need to McDonalds chicken nuggets. I told her no, if it was chicken nuggets she wanted for dinner I would be happy to make them for her for dinner. That wasnt good enough, so the entire car ride home, I listened to her saying things like "Happy Meal", "McDonalds" and things of the like. I am used to her doing this to get her way so I just ignore it.
Go figure the light in front of the McDonalds was flashing red. There was a line and Hannah could those yellow arches from the distance, so it started again. "McDonalds" Happy Meal" "Chicken Nuggets", "Toy". My answer was simple "I said no, now cut it out" Her response "Well I will pick my boogers and wipe them all over you!"
Greta (whom I carpool with) lost it and started laughing, I started laughing. Of course we didnt want Hannah to know we were laughing so we tried to laugh without her knowing, we were laughing so hard that we started crying! I couldnt even regain composure to tell her she is not to speak like that.
My thanks goes out to daycare for teaching my child that the crusty things up Hannahs nose are called boogers. To a 4 year old, the threat of a booger is much like a parents threat to spank. Just as no kid wants a spanking, no parent wants a booger put on them!

The Steam Room

We have been battling a cold and ear infections in Payton, since I went back to work full time. The cold has not gone away, and we are on the third ear infection. When she gets congested we put the vaporizor on in her room, just as the doctor ordered. In our house, we have a water softener and because of that a pinch or two of salt is necessary in the water.
The other night I asked my husband if he would start the vaporizor for Payton. Not a problem... through the baby monitor all we could here was sort of like a popping sound... really sounded like boiling water. I figured, the vaporizor was broke in and that is how it was supposed to sound. OK, Payton goes to bed between 6 and 6:30, at nine I told Woody, I was gonna go check in on her.
I opened the door and the steam was so thick I could not even see Paytons crib 6 feet in front of me! I seriously panic-ed. I turned the fan on, opened her vent all the way, unplugged the machine and went down stairs to scold my husband.
Me: Um, did you put salt in the vaporizor when you started it tonight?
Him: Yeah, come on, lets watch this
Me: Can I ask how much salt you put in there because it only needs a pinch or two
Him: Is there a problem with the way I do things
Me: If you didnt put a pinch or two of salt in the vaporizor there is.. maybe you need to go upstairs to your daughters room to see what I am talking about
Him: Maybe you just need to tell me what your point is
Me: My point is I opened the door to her room and about choked on all the steam in there it smells like salt really bad too, so how much did you use?
Him: I sprinkled it in there
Me: Ok so you sprinkled from the salt shaker?
Him: No, the salt container!

The freakin salt container... he is so never gonna start the vaporizor again! I know he tried... but if he would have listened to me the first time he would have know a pinch or two would be super!

Men!!!

No thank you

Yesterday was my day to stay home with Hannah because she got strep at daycare.
I went out back to smoke a cigarette and managed to lock myself out.
Here was the conversation from the dog door:
Me: Hannah can you come downstairs
Hannah: NO
Me: Hannah can you give mommy the keys so she can get inside
Hannah: No thank you

So I start crawling in the dog door and she sees me and asks what I am doing, my response " well I locked myself out, and you wouldnt give me the keys to get in. Does that make you wish you would have helped now?" She looked at me and again shouted NO!!

This is why we love children!!

Nosey Neighbors!

Have you ever had one of those nosey neighbors that no matter what you do, they just notice everything. They dont really talk to anyone in the neighborhood, you just know they are watching you and they know what you are doing?!
I am guilty of just that.... let me tell you why it paid off though!
The house right next door to us is for sale and vacant. Has been for some time.
Yesterday we got home from work and I went out back and looked that way, and found that one of the kitchen windows were open with no screen on it. That's weird since no one lives there.
I immediately told my husband of the findings and let him know it was not open like that the day before and that I did notice the blilnds in the front of the house had been shut and no one had been in there to look at the place.
He called the owner and they werent there, so he hopped the wall to see if he could see anything fishy in there. He said the only thing left in the house was the pool table... yeah that was gone. So he told the neighbor he would call the cops for him to report it. The neighbor said that was fine and said he would be over shortly. Upon talking to me, he mentioned he didnt recall the appliances being in there so I told him to call Drew to ask if he had taken those out. Nope Drew didnt and neither did Michelle.
Turns out not only did the burglars take the pool table but they took every last appliance in the house! All of them!!
So much for my neighborhood feeling safe to me. But the cops said that burglars are targeting vacant houses and doing just that to them. Sucks that it happened to the house!!
Sucks that it happened right next door!

Crappy Service Pt2

So you all read the crappy service blog. Tennille called and got us free food all around.... yey for us!
Little eff'rs closed shop on Thursday July 29th!

No free food after all!

Boo for Bennigans!

Crappy Service

So a group of us from work planned for a week that we would all venture out for lunch this afternoon. Bennigan's was the place of choice.
The events were as follows:
We pull up and park and right behind us parks a "silver Saturn" that is overheating. We walk in and immediately get seated. (Good so far right?) OK so we order our drinks, and while we were waiting for them to come another waiter is walking the resturaunt asking people if they drive a silver saturn, it is on fire! I told the girls what I wanted from the menu and thought if that car is on fire, I am moving mine! So Tammy tells the waiter, I can point out whose car that is cause they came in as we did. Not only did she point them out, but she had to tell them, their car was on fire! LOL I go outside to inspect the car that is on fire only to find that it is no longer overheating and it is sitting in the parking lot just like any other car. I turn around and walk back in and the couple has already got up and left and were barreling outside when I tell them, their car is not on fire. I explain I went out so their car did not blow my car up, and we all make our way back inside to start and even more crappy experience!
I walk in to the waiter taking orders. I asked if they made my order... Juanita says "Of course", the waiter says "No, they wanted to leave you out!" I said ok and he walked away.
The food comes.... mine was good, we were all talking about how the price at Bennigan's has gone up. Juanita asks us if we see anything wrong with her sammich... Well, yeah, we see bread! No meat! She opened it up and it seriously had like one or two pieces of meat on it! LOL So it gets sent back. The waiter guy, did not appreciate that.
So a manager comes out and sort of nicely says she is sorry. Juanita gets her sammich, and the manager lady "Danielle" offers a half assed apology and walks away.
A while later, the manager lady comes by to ask if we need to go boxes. The girls who needed one said yes, and I said, getting our check would be great!
LOL... at 26 minutes of waiting for our check, Tennille starts calling out.... 26 minutes waiting for our check, 27 minutes waiting for our check, 28, 29.......
Danielle comes back with the checks... Tennille lets loose about how she wants the District Managers name... a card comes back, WITH another manager "Andrea", telling us to call tomorrow AFTER 5!! We were all on the same track with, well is he gonna be here after 5?!
We pay.... 3 of us had cash, 2 had cards. We waited another 20 minutes for them to run 2 cards!
I am already tired of typing the crappiest service experience I have ever received, as I am sure you are tired of reading... cause honestly a lunch should be no longer than 1 hour, right?
Well my lunch today was an hour and a half!!
You better believe we are calling "Sergio" tomorrow after 5!!! Oh and the last time we saw the waiter...... that was when Juanita sent back her sammich!!
Needless to say... my review of Bennigan's is all fingers and toes down!! I wont be back there for quite some time!!

Round One

After Woodys interview in Denver we found out it was a no go. Just wasnt meant to be. Thats ok though. What will be, will be right?!
Today we were informed we will be getting an offer on the house. They want to make it contingent on the sale of their home. That is great... we will still continue to show the house and will accept all other offers that may come our way.

I am such a second time mom!

So as I was strolling good 'ol Wal-mart today looking for pajamas for my two daughters, I found the cutest little princess nightgown for my very own princess Hannah. Its cute.... she just fell in love and had to have it.
Went to the baby section and well... we werent so lucky. I looked and looked. My second child is so opposite of Hannah. Payton likes to be warm all the time. Long sleeved, long pants are out of the question in mid July. So whats a second time mom to do? I did ponder the thought of perhaps going to another store. But no.. Miss Payton has such a ghetto second time mom, that I went over to the little boys section and found some Kung Fu Panda PJs. LOL.. Hey it was either that, Cars or Thomas the train.
Who cares if my little girl looks like a boy! I dont take her out in public with her boy pjs!

I dont think a pair of pjs will ruin her reputation just yet!!

My own independance day!

One year ago today.... my step daughter and her friend were on a mission to ruin the days of unsuspecting individuals. My friend, Greta calls me up early in the morning and says "So the neighbors cars were vandalized last night" I said "the girls did it" She said "no I dont think they did" Then she proceeds to tell me that they slept outside on the trampoline! To make a very long story short.... the girls vandalized 5 cars in Greta's neighborhood! One of them, causing felony damage. The victims had one year to file police reports and press charges..... today..... time is up!I could care less if they were taken away for vandalizing.... but we as parents are poor as hell! They knew better.... they didnt use good judgement! They were out to impress each other! So needless to say... we are home free and I think those little girls should thank their lucky stars that no one pressed charges!!WHEW!!!!!!!

Playing Catch up

Where have I been since my last post, you ask?!
I am sure you dont care but humor me! :o)

So we put the house up for sale in anticipation to purchase a smaller house. With the way the economy is, I hate having a 2K mortgage payment, paying over two hundred in electricity and 130 in water each month! Woody and I came to grips and saw that we were living for the house more than we were living for the girls. I pay 650 every two weeks for daycare... I am broke... and I hate it!
Thus, our decision....

In the mean time, he has been looking towards new jobs... here and there! Just exploring what is out there. Nothing serious.... or so I thought. He should be presented with a job offer in Santa Fe sometime this week, possibly early next week. Either way, we know it is coming! The blow to my gut.... (Liz dont be calling Jeremy cause we dont know how this will pan out!) Woody will be on a plane first thing Monday morning heading out to Denver for a job interview. OK, I am like a kid on this.... Albuquerque is my home. My parents are here, my job is here and my friends are here. I dont want to go. He is the bread winner in the house though, Albuquerque, does not pay what he is really worth. (I guess it really pays to be a computer nerd!) Anyway, we will see what is meant to be. And NO this was not part of the plan to put the house up. Part of me hopes that the Santa Fe offer comes in too high for him to want to go anywhere else!

Let's see... I love love love my job! Absolutely loving it! I stay to myself and talk to all of 4 people! I must admit that I have already gone to my supervisor and informed him that I had a nice chat with a co-worker on the do's and don'ts of working with her. I politely let her know that I one day... will upset her, make her cry, and really piss her off. I informed her that I would not walk on egg shells around her. And upon telling the supervisor that... I saw that look, you know, the one that is like... G R E A T !!!! I let him know this was not something I would strive to do, but the possibility was there. LOL. Again, when I say I love my job, I mean it!! Everyone is nice... and again... believe it or not I do mind my own business. I have met alot of nice "new" people and actually strive to meet more!

Last weekend I helped a friend ring in her 30th birthday! It was boat loads of fun! We stayed at her party roughly 3 hours. In that time, I managed to suck down ... oh... at least 12 to 15 jello shots, 2 shots of Patron, and a shot of some Apple Korn shit. And guess what I was still standing and just a wee bit tipsy! LOL... Not even a hang over the next morning. From the sounds of it.... the best part of the party happened after we left! LOL

This weekend is July 4th weekend. We are having my in laws in town, my parents will be over and then another friend and her hubby will be over. I will begin making Jello Shots tomorrow evening in hopes that my mother in law will be cool enough to suck one or two down with me! LOL Lots of pictures to come!

Well I suppose I must close for now as I just turned into "Chunk" from the Goonies and spilled my guts on everything!

I will try to get away and post a very special post tomorrow! LOL Until then......

You sneaky thing.......

So have you ever not felt like you had to fart and you did something and one crept out?
That was me..... today!
I went into Paytons class to pick her up. The class was full of kids, three teachers, myself, and another parent.
I walk in to get my kid, pick her up and take a step back so the father of another child could get his kid while one teacher went and got Paytons report card for the day.
I cough (cause I really needed to clear my throat) and out of nowhere the loudest fart fell out from my butt! You know that feeling of everyone just heard it and so you try your best to cover it up? Yeah, well, there was none of that! It was obvious it came from me and not the father standing next to me. All I could do was smile! I was mortified....
The smile would not leave my face all the way out to the car. I put Payton in her carseat, get in on my side and start laughing so hard, I proceed to cry! Woody and Greta (we carpool to work) were asking what the hell I was laughing about. I regain myself and ask a simple question, "Have you ever accidentally farted in a place, and it was so loud it shook where you were at?" All they could reply with was "No, you didnt!!" And all I could do was laugh and say oh yes I did! We must have sit there laughing for 10 minutes over my stupidness!!
As I sit and write this, I still have that smile on my face. For the life of me, I cant figure out if the smile is due to utter embarrassment or that I am so very proud that something so loud snuck out!!

My one wish....

may have come true.
I did not want the wish to happen as we assume it did!
Everyone knows my love for cats....
Many nights when our cat ran out the house and didnt want to come back in, I would say "I wish he would just find a new home"
Well, my friends, I believe my little Samson found a new home in the gut of a coyote!
Sad I know.....
He is usually standing at the back door as I open the blinds in the morning and today, he wasnt.
I..... yes I, drove the neighborhood trying to see if I saw any roadkill. I looked in the ditch where he frequents. And here it is 10:22pm and my cat, has not returned home. Today was a hot day too... and he always comes to check in!
Not today.....
He has either found himself a woman.... or was another animals lunch!
If he does come back in a few days, he will be grounded to the house for a while! LOL
I just have to come up with a plan to keep him in, since the way he gets out is the dog door.
hhhmmmmmm..... I just may think my feelings are actually hurt over this!

A week and a half.......

My girls have been at daycare for a week and a half. So far Hannah is doing rather well. As far as we know she has only been in time out once. She claims she was running around and the other kids were teasing her. That translates to I was not listening to the teacher and doing my own thing making fun of everyone. No sickness to report yet!

Payton on the other hand..... it is 1:07 pm and I am not blogging from my desk at work. Rather from the couch at my house. After the longest night of my life last night..... I got up called in to work, carted one kid to daycare and the other to urgent care! My "booger" (yes I call my kid booger) has a double ear infection! No wonder she was so assed up last night.

Here is some interesting news that the doctor passed on to me:

The AMA (or some medical board thing) has done studies and found that out of 100 ear infections, only 4 of them are bacterial and truly needs antibiotics. For the rest of the 96 kids, they are suggesting to not treat the ear infection with antibiotics. The toll of an ear infection runs about 10 days and after 3 the pain starts getting better.

That is great news..... for other parents! I want my child feeling better, um, NOW!
Needless to say, I left urgent care with not only the antibotic but with those wonderful little numbing ear drops!

For the past hour my kid has been resting.... she isnt screaming like she was this morning. But this is tolerable!

So yes, 1 month back to work..... I call in
1 week at daycare.... let the ear infections begin!

This again was why I hated daycare when Hannah went there! I am ready for this.... because for the first time in a long time. I like my job, I like my boss, and I like the people I work with!

I cant..... I'm pooping!

Hannah (the 4 year old) has a bad habit of procrastinating. When it comes time to do something she likes to come up with a different reason on why she needs to do something else. Tonight topped it all!!
We sat down for dinner... she did not want to eat, so it was the usual "Hannah, eat your dinner" Hannah replies with "why" and "what happens if I dont?".
We keep patiently telling her that she must finish her dinner! She says "oh no" and runs toward the bathroom. We continue our conversation and eating. About 5 minutes later, we tell her to quit playing games and come out of the bathroom so that she can finish eating her dinner. She says "I can't I'm pooping!" I said you better pinch it off and get out here cause I know you aren't. She says "Well I am pooping and peeing and pooping and peeing" We laugh and tell her again to come and eat her dinner. She responds with a grunt and a sigh of relief. Then a little chuckle!
I really want to know where she comes up with these things! It isnt like we sit in there and do things like that!
So in the end, my quick witted child, pinched it off, and after telling her she would sit at the table all night, ate all her dinner!

I am still here!

Well I am still here...
I have been on the lazy side lately. Well not lazy, busy!
Scott was in town... a blast! Loved every minute of the torture I went through while he was here!
I took off on Monday and promised the boss I'd work 4 10's... HOLY SHIT!! I dont understand how people do it and by the end of the week are still standing! I worked 12 hours today cause I took an hour lunch to go to Wizzy's good bye lunch... and I am exhausted.
While at lunch today the boss mentioned that I have been rather quiet since I went back to work there. I love how everyone notices that these days! LOL It is like a shocker to them.... but then later on towards the end of the night I got stuck on this price thingy I was doing and, well, lets just say the "old" Robin appeared for a brief second or two! LOL The boss was so excited that he got me all "frazzled" cause nothing has done it this far! It's ok, I worked past it and moved right along! I just was getting pissed at myself for not understanding what the hell I was supposed to be researching.
I really wish Liz was staying.. LOL.. not because I get her accounts, but because she is a really nice person once you get to know her. She is super funny too!
I really am glad I went back to work at Cardinal..
This week, I get home have time to eat put Payton down, shower, put Hannah down and go to bed! I cant wait till this week is over!
I know I forgot Wordless Wednesday.... maybe I will treat you to a picture over the weekend!
Right now.... I am off to smoke! Gotta love cigarettes! LOL

It worked!

SO the ultimate surprise went rather well.
My brother arrived with his family... safe and sound.
All the while, my mom and dad were supposed to be staying in El Paso for the night. My dad got her mad enough to say "FINE... we will just go home". While, my poor dad was being told off every minute of his 4 hour drive, my brother was waiting for them to get close enough for him to cart the entire family to surprise my mom! AND IT WORKED!!! She had no clue! LOL
Here was the phone call I received when she got home tonight:

Me: Hello
Mom: You son of a bitch! I cussed your dad out for 4 hours, got nothing to eat or drink, and had to take a poo really bad!
Me: Well.... I didnt want to ruin your surprise, but I am glad it worked. Did you get to take a poo though... cause you know nothing bugs like needing to take a poo when the driver wont pull over!
Mom: I can't believe you guys pulled this over on me!
Me: Mom, we pull alot over on you and to this day you still dont figure it out
Mom: I gotta go before your smart ass really does piss me off!
Me: I love you too Mom, and I will see you tomorrow... nighty night!
Mom: Bye ROBIN!!

ROFLMAO!

And we called to check in a while later and she mentioned that while she was doing all her complaining, my dad just looked over and said "Woman, dont make me back hand you!" LOL (For those who know my husband, this is where my dad got that comment from... and NO, it doesnt happen, in either house!) So my mom proceeds to tell my husband that my dad is spending a little too much time with him if my dad is picking up his verbage! LOL

I would say, that was a well planned surprise! Nothing makes me happier than seeing my mother that happy! I think I really know what a pig must feel like while rolling around in poo! :0)

No longer a fart magnet!

So I mentioned before, I think, that I was leaving Wal-mart....
Yes that is right, I am no longer a fart magnet, and no longer the person that pissed off people happily tell off while I smile and nod!
I went back to my job of 5 years that I had before Payton was born....
I gotta say it hasnt been all that bad. I graduated training this week. The last two weeks that is what I have been doing.... training. That blows! But I am glad to be back there.
It seemed like I was a kid in elementary school, gone for the summer. Then the most popular kid came back to school type of feeling! Really not like that... but I have had quite a few run ins that were nice. It was nice to catch up with a few folks.
I learned though, that before I even went back that drama will always be there.... I now choose to talk to a few with deep thoughts, and talk in passing to a few and even just keep it job related with others. I am there to work, not really make friends. Most people remember me as a big ol bitch.... and I just might prefer it that way! :0)

Where's my raise?

With the "rising" cost of gas... everything is seeing the toll! Food has gone up, just heard on the news that the gas prices for PNM is going up by 9 bucks, even gas to get from point "A" to point "B" has gone up. Yesterday on my way to work gas was $3.67, on my way home, at the same station, it went up to $3.79!
So apparently everything is going up, but MY pay?!
Ever ponder how us people are gonna get where we need to go, let alone pay for bills? Companies dont want to put out any more money on people to get them to work because the company itself is suffering too!
This is crazy!! When is it gonna stop??

Mistress Xbox!!

My husband is having an affair! Or maybe it is an addiction. Either way it's pissin me off! LOL
I go to work, and people ask what I did last night..... "oh I watched TV" they say "what did you watch" my response "My husband.... play xbox live!"
Pretty much every night that there is not something on TV that he wants to watch.... I am tortured with having to watch freaking xbox live! Bad........
Then today... I walk in the house approximately 30 minutes AFTER him..... can ya guess what he is doing?! Yup.... having an affair!

Guess when it really comes down to what else we would be doing..... it would be a whole lot of nothing. But seriously...... when does this shit become addicting, right?!

My own waxing story......

There was a email circulating about a gal who, in short, waxed her butt cheeks together while she was trying to wax her bikini area....... let me tell you my waxing story.....

One of my best friends cuts my hair and waxes my eye brows. Ok so she is a beautician!
Well I thought I would save her the hassle of waxing my furry critters on a monthly basis...
I am, what you would call an AVON lady, I have no shame in buying anything from there!
So I see a waxing kit.... I think, right on!!! I can do this myself... how hard is it?
I get my order which contains the waxing kit. And I read the instructions, just in case you should be a brain surgeon to perform such a task.
I heat the wax, then stir, then heat it some more. I take the wax out of the microwave... I was so excited by my do it yourself task that I spill it on my right hand. I say a very loud four letter word, put my wax down and the fun began!!
In all my brillance, I went to wash my hands ..... I rubbed them together... putting wax on my right hand. Another four letter word fell out of my mouth. I squirt soap on my hands, only to spread the wax around even more. So I had to dry my hands before I could attempt to get the wax off my hands. I grabbed a paper towel.... did you know paper towels stick to hands with wax covered all over them?! Wasn't a pretty scene!
Tried icing my hands..... didn't work!
Tried hot water.... didn't work!
Tried peeling the shit off my hands.... as you guessed, that didnt work either!
So I swallow my pride, knowing that no matter what I did, my hands would always be covered in wax, and called Juanita!
I reminded her about the time I cut my own hair and asked her how much she loved me. She immediately asked "What did you do?" I said "Well do you remember the email about the lady that waxed her buttcheeks together?" And she started laughing at me. I told her my situation.
The smartest person in the world...... after she got past all her laughing, told me to put Vegetable oil on my hands and it should come off. Brillant!! I hang up... go to the pantry, get out my vegetable oil and go to town. I'll be damned if that stuff didnt come off!! I immediately went up stairs, took a shower and came down to tackle everything I touched! Wow.... Juanita is the smartest girl in the world!! So right! LOL...
Needless to say.... I have learned not to be in a rush when trying to waxing my own eye brows! And I learned that maybe, just maybe... plucking is the easiest way to go!
Did I learn, hell no.....I'll be back at it again! :o)
I am just glad I tried waxing my eyebrows the first time and not my bikini area! Poor Juaniters would have had to have been called in to help a sista out!!! YIKES!!!

I got a "lurker".....

So I write my blogs just for something to do. Most of the time they make no sense right?! Well anyway, I have a fan! I learned today that someone I saw in passing at work, way back when.... follows my blog. Shout out to Suicidal Jane... LOL Anyway, really made me feel like a superstar in a wierd kind of way.
Am I that interesting? Or is it that she is that bored?! hehehe But I must admit... I too was nosing around the different blogs and did read hers a time or two. I suppose if you have a blog it is open for anyone to read unless you lock it down for your own reasons.
I admit I am no Dooce, but damn it I am trying!

On a heavier note... I must get off from blogging to go pick up the dead gutted rabbit that my stupid cat brought home today.

Busy, Busy Busy

I know lately I have no been posting like I have in the past, and I have a really good reason for it. I got a life again!! LOL
I quit the night job at Wal-mart and went back to the day job I had for 5 years before the baby was born. As a matter of fact I was thinking this morning..... that job has seen me get married and have 2 kids! I got married almost 6 years ago! All in all I am glad to be back in an enviroment that I like. Yesterday was my first day and it sort of felt like I was in school and gone for the summer. I got to see all the people that I have spent some time with over the years! It was nice. It is all so new again, so I will post next week to tell you I cant stand it again... LOL
Any way, lots of focusing on Lauren, my step daughter. Not too sure what her intentions were when she decided to come out here. Not too sure why she even came. It sure was easier without her here and it didnt cause the strain on my relationship like it does now (again!). I can honestly tell you I have really tried this time around to be a better step monster to her. But that isnt good enough for her. She looks up to her mother..... a woman that treats her like a sister rather than a friend. I do remember a time where Lauren told my husband and I, her mother "neglected and abused" her and her brother. I now think her mother has something on her that Lauren is worried will get back to us if she does not continue to kiss her ass. Anyway, Lauren is striving to be her mother!! sad......
Payton can walk.... but wont! She is the laziest thing I have ever seen! LOL She better get used to it because she starts daycare on June 2nd and HAS to walk all the time there!
That is my life over the past week in a nutshell. I must get my children ready for the day and get out the door to go to work!

When there is a problem.....

So I learned how to identify when you have a problem with alcohol!

When you only have 29 dollars in your account and you buy a bunch of food and a six pack of beer. Your total is above the 29 dollars you have left, so what do you do? You put back, all but three of your ramen noodles to ensure you make your 29 dollar budget..... and.... get your beer!
Mister, you had not only customers, but employees such as myself in stiches as you left the store!

And while I am on the subject of alcohol.... speacial shout out to the man who I denied an alcohol sale to because he presented an expired ID. Love that you think I am a "bitch". Sorry, sir.... my fine is far worse than the fact that you couldnt go home and enjoy your gallon of vodka, that you were trying to buy! :0) Call me what you will....

And yes I know it is Wednesday and it is supposed to be wordless..... but I couldnt help... and dont have any photos worth posting today. Plus I am too lazy to go get my camera. But hey, there is always hope for next Wednesdays photo. Maybe hell will freeze over and my kid will start walking! :0)

Did I do the right thing??

So we all know how much I like being a stay at home mom of two kids!!
I decided I needed to get out of the house during the day. I reapplied at my former job, had an interview and accepted the position yesterday. I received all my documents that I needed to sign and fax back this morning and have done so.
Last night while laying in bed I thought to myself "Am I doing the right thing?" I have not left the youngest ones side to leave her in a daycare and wondered if I really should. Hannah really needs to get back into a daycare and school setting. She is driving me nuts!
Today I went and toured a school that I was so pleased with, I put the hold fee on them to hold their spots beginning in June. This school is just that.... a school. I was impressed and did not get any ill feelings while being there. The only what if type of thing I am facing is that, Payton MUST be walking by June 2nd or they will not have room for her until December.
Hannah is excited and will hopefully do good there! Payton... she is a mamas girl so I can only hope for good days!

What was he thinking...

OK so my bathroom has three windows in it. Two windows are in my closet, facing the houses across the street. And the other window faces the next door neighbors house.
Ok..... got it?! So I was in the shower today. I see the neighbor across the street in his back yard. He is older, maybe mid 60's. This is the type of neighbor that walks around in the summer with his socks up to his knees and just shorts on. Shirt... no where to be found.
Today I had a peep at something I never again want to see in my life. There in his own backyard, was my neighbor walking around in a button up shirt and his underwear!! I could handle it if his underwear were boxers! LOL
I am sure you are thinking he was in his backyard.... and he was. But please, when the houses around you are 2 story and looking down on your yard.... please put some pants on!!

Death to kitty

Seriously.... anyone want a cat?!

This weekend my husband had the honors of chasing a rabbit around the house because that was the latest thing the stupid cat brought in!!

He was so mad! LOL... and I only find it funny because I wasnt here.

Is it bad to wish death upon your animal?

The day has come

Today I salute all the men and woman serving our country. All my friends... most of all my brother.
I never understood what people went through when they said they had a loved one fighting for our country. Until we got word Scott was going.....
15 months ago, we all braced ourselves for the worste. I even emailed him and apologized for everything I ever said to him (mostly the I hate you's and the I hope you dies). There were alot of emotions with my brother going to Iraq. My family was on pins and needles.
In time, we grew together and became stronger together! We bonded. My sister in law and I became so close. I listened to the ups and downs of her going through this on a daily basis... alone. It was hard on me, that was my brother... but I had my husband to sleep next to every night. Late night phone calls meant our hands would shake until we looked at the caller id. The news was something we really didnt watch... only the local news.
I was the person on the other end of the phone when my sister in law just needed to talk, to vent, to tell someone about something one of the kids did. I watched Jen (my sister in law) grow into an even stronger person than she already was. I never had any doubt in her faith to Scott. Even though he was so far away, she continued to do everything she did for him.
I learned from this deployment that Soldiers like to be thanked for what they do. They do not hear it enough. So when I see a soldier in their uniform I take the time to walk up to them and thank them for serving and for their bravery.
This morning at approx 6:30 Kansas time, my brother was reunitied with his family and my parents. I woke up and immediately texted Jen to just ask a quick "he home?" no response so I figured they were still doing the ceremony. My dad called and told me he was home and in his own house. I have never felt so much relief in all my life. I hung up and bursted into tears.
I have been a ball of emotions all day. I am thankful that my brother made it home safe, in one piece and alive! I am thankful that this expierence has brought our family closer than I ever thought it would. I am thankful to Scott for serving our country, for being so brave, for being a great brother, friend and father!

Here's to you Scott.... for all the things you are... and to Jen.... for being as strong as you are!
I love you both more than you know!!

Happy Birthday Jaden!! I am so glad that you get your dad this year for your birthday!! Wish I was there to celebrate with you all! See you soon! I love you~ Aunt "Rovin"

A Soldiers Homecoming!

The call has been made and Scott, my brother, will be home on Thursday. His re-deployment ceremony is scheduled to be at 4:45 in the afternoon.
Looking back 15 months ago, it seemed like he would be gone forever. We wondered on a daily basis if we were gonna get a call that something happened. There were lots of shed tears and very few talks with him.
Today.... I can tell you that we, as a family are blessed to know that he is coming home in one piece and that he will be coming home alive. I can not tell you how fast the time has flown bye. Looking back on it, it seems like yesterday that he left.
Needless to say.... we are all beside ourselves knowing he is returning. I can not be there for the homecoming but have asked for lots of pictures. I will see him in a month anyway!
So today I am happier than a pig in shit just knowing that my big brother, my hero will be home in only 2 days!!

My husband.... the gangsta

Everyone who knows me knows that I have to live with watching my husband play xbox live on a nightly basis. It ranges from an hour to a few. It just depends on how well he is doing that day.
So here lately he has been playing alot of Call of Duty 4 (COD4). This bugs cause it is the same thing game after game after game!
Last night, my husband was asked to join a "clan" or as I would call it a gang. It is called KGB... this acyronym means "Killer Green Bud", which is hilarious because neither one of us smokes pot! LOL
So anyway... this bunch of kids or grown men, they play alot of different games. It makes the people that are forced to watch their husbands play the games alot more tolerable.
So with him being the new whitey gangsta of COD4,.... heres to many more nights of torture!!

I'm a mouse killer

Recently our cat (who has never been outside) has learned how to use the dog door. We cant exactly keep him in. It isnt worth us fighting with him. And lately, he seems to think he needs to thank us everytime he comes home. He has been bringing presents back to us in the form of mice or pack rats.
That was fine and dandy until he brought one into the house..... alive! There I was minding my own business sitting on the couch when the cat came roaming back into the house. I heard alot of commotion and looked over to see what the problem was. There was the cat, Samson, playing with the mouse! I ran over and tried to scare him into going outside.... yeah that didnt work. His thoughts: Why play outside in the cold and wind, when I can just keep on playing inside! So he ran right upstairs with this thing... still alive. I have to admit, it did have one foot in the grave... but it was still alive. I finally chased the cat away and got a dust pan and a plastic bag. I hovered over and pondered... how the hell am I supposed to kill this thing because I am not picking up a mouse that is alive to put in a bag.
I took a deep breath
I held my breath
I closed my eyes
And I jabbed the dust pan on the mouse.
Gross, I know... but it did the trick and killed the bastard. So I spent the rest of the afternoon cussing to my poor husband because his cat is doing this crap.
Needless to say, I called the vet to see if we need to worry about crawling around and Hannah. The girl at the vets office said that these mice can and do carry diseases. That if he is bringing them in the house not to let the baby around the mice if they are dead (duh!) and to put mouse traps up for the ones he brings in that are alive.
No offense but I dont like the sounds of either of these!! My solution is to get rid of the cat until the girls are old enough to know that a dead mouse is something that needs to be brought to Mommys attention right away. Right now, it really creeps me out knowing that Payton and the dog will play with it before I ever knew it was in the house. I say this cause Payton doesnt know any better and Jackson (the dog) well he is just dumb and he is a few sandwiches short of a full picnic!
So with that....... anyone want a cat?!

Feeling Stupid

Boy do I feel stupid:

I let her back
I missed her
I wanted her back

I thought she changed
I thought she would try
I thought she would appreciate

Now that she is back she wants to go back to the home she talked so badly of.
I dont give up easily..... but I give up now!
She won.... she got the best of me.
This is the absolute last time!

I hate being a step parent!!!

Trying Weekend

I have no words to describe this weekend. It was trying, to say the least.
Lauren had a friend spend the night and I got on her after the friend left because of the way she treated her little sister while her friend was here. I ended up crying because I was frustrated and sickened to know that she could treat an innocent child like that when her friends are around. I went to work. I came home for her to tell me she called her mother cause she wants to go back there!! Of course, Mt Robin started boiling and the lava came out full force! I lost my mind. She has said so much stuff about her mom. Nothing good of course and now all of a sudden she wants to go back? She came her to say her mom treated her so bad, her mom was on drugs, her mom just flat out neglected her. And now she wants to go back because I told her she was an ass to her sister.
You talk about hurt. Talk about a kick in the face! I knife in the back!
After I calmed down.... the answer was NO. We arent playing this game with her. She is done playing her parents against each other. Of course at 14 the grass seems greener on the other side no matter which side she is on. No ma'am! Not happening this time.
It is gonna take some time. She is a kid. Kids hurt parents all the time. It is a matter of getting past it. She will hurt us again. I am sure she will throw it up in our faces again that she wants to go back. I am strong enough to continue to say NO!!!
Needless to say, it still hurts..... hurts both her dad and I!

Hot or Not?

At work last night I saw my ex-husband (if thats what we want to call him). I have seen him here and there in the past and he likes to think we can sit down and chat. But I felt his eyeballs staring me down so I know he saw me. I looked at him for a second and thought (of course when he wasnt looking my way)..... how did I like him? What was it about him that was so attractive at the time? Why? And I went about my business.
Just got me thinking..... if a female can look at an ex and wonder what she ever saw in him, does a guy think the same or does he still think with his manly parts? I happen to think he looked so bad.... he was ugly to me. And I just wonder if he was so ugly because of what we went through. Is he ugly because I know he is an ass? So him knowing me.... am I ugly to him to, or am I still pretty in his eyes?
I dont really care what he thinks of me. He helped mold me into what I am today! I dont take anyones crap. And because of him I know what "love" is supposed to feel like! It might have taken a few wrongs.... but I got my Mr. Right now!

Just Mad and venting!

So even though my Wordless Wednesday should not have an explaination, I feel one is owed!

As you all know I have been out on a Medical Leave of Abscence since January, just returning back to work this past week. Got 30 hours last week, 26 this week, 20 next week, and the following week, 12!! Do we see a trend here!?

When I left to start my LOA, I was getting a minimum of 26 hours a week because I am part time. To go back to 12 hours really asses me up! When I left all the CSS's had specific hours and days they could work. Seemed to work then. There were 7 CSS's to share hours... today there are 8 and no hours?! WTF?! I am so mad right now at this.

What I dont understand is how there are no hours. We are getting 4 hours a day. Even on the days that I am able to work 8 hours I am getting 4 hours.

If I am so knowledgeble and needed why do I get 12 hours?

So my plan of attack is this.... I speak with the manager above me to see if there are extra hours somewhere else. I apply outside the company and work two jobs. I hurry my ass up and go to school so I can get a higher paying job.

I will quit complaining now...... just because I have a diaper to change!

My daughter.... the record!

My daughter, Hannah, must remember everything she sees and hears.

One day last week while she was eating lunch I just kept hearing "It's my money and I want it now!" Who knows when that commercial was actually on the television.

This weekend she called my husband a "little effer" (but actually said the word) on a trip to the grocery store. She blames myself, my step daughter and my step son (who hasnt been here in over a year) on where she heard it from.

I am telling you... I understand now what they meant when people told me that kids hear and repeat everything you say! I wish I could take back most of what comes out of her mouth!! Maybe I will do it right with Payton.

Why I love Wal-mart

Some would wonder about me: Why I love working at Wal-mart?!
It isnt the pay.
It isnt the hours.
It isnt the job.
It is the people... people of all sorts. Pissed off, funny, old, young, happy, sad, sick, healthy, bitchy, stupid, smart... everyone shops at Wally world! And honestly if you read this, and dont shop there... you're missing HOURS of entertainment. Let me share last night with you.
My hours were 2:30 to 7. Oh boy was it a fun filled night! Hardly anyone in the store, but the ones in the store were all pissed off for one reason or another. I took complaints about the other supervisors that I thought were rather petty. I took them... and will give the girls hell later on down the road about it. I took a customer complaint about the way a door greeter moved the little hand held baskets. The paramedics were called cause yet another customer passed out. A sick little girl walked in the door and puked in the garbage can. We had the usual shoplifters and cops there. The cashiers all complained about hours. I had a customer yell at me because we couldnt cash a check for her. A customer told me (in front of the cashier) that he should get some thick glasses cause apparently he cant see shit. We even had the look-alikes in the store: Elvis was in the store with his massive beer gut all greased up with oil and no shirt. He did have his bedazzled jacket halfway buttoned up. We had the look-alike "Moe" from The Doodlebops in the store as well. And my biggest complaint of the night by myself was that I was farted on by a customer again!
And yet... I will put on my Wal-mart uniform tonight and go back for another night there at work! And this my friends is the reason why I love Wal-Mart~!
Oh and to the few happy shoppers out there! Thanks for not giving us any material to put on our blogs or tell our family and friends about! We appreciate you!! Happy Shopping!

What it did for me.....

So... 7 weeks ago I have major surgery on "my butt" (different post below).
Today I can tell you I dont know what is different about me, but there is something different. Do I just not want drama.... am I getting older.... am I really a serious person?! All these questions have yet to be answered. I am trying to figure it out for myself. I can tell I pulled back from everyone. I keep to myself more than ever. Why?! No idea. No one did anything to me... it's just me. I had a few bosses at work comment that I did not go back to work with a sense of humor. Both my parents have said I am not myself. Again... not sure why!
I am a rather boring person these days, I gave up smoking Feb 4th when I had my surgery. And what went from drinking wine a couple times a week..... has dwindled down to maybe once a month and that is only cause we are hanging with friends. Even our hanging with friends doesnt happen much anymore.
Maybe it is that I was attached to my uterus and I was sad to see it go?! Just kidding... I dont know what it is about.... only time will tell if the same me will come back or if this person is who I am? I will get back to you on that one!

Back to Work Report

So today was my first day back at work in 2 months. I was glad to be back, as were my employees glad to see me back. I love my children, but I do need to be away from them at times. Daycare is way too expensive for 2 kids, thus the reasoning behind a part time evening Walmart job! Gets me out of the house, makes me a few extra dollars... and gives me a discount on things I need!
Anyway, the day started off great! In the 2 months I have been gone, SO much has changed. It was like I would do one thing and the other supervisor would say, oh no that changed. Grrrr!!! I finally told the other gal I was working with to fill me in on what exactly my job was again.
As I went to leave, I had to put out a fire. Not literally, but a door greeter gave another door greeters jacket away to a customer! I know, what a dummy. But I did what I could. A measly walmart jacket could never replace the expensive jacket the gal lost, but she took it with a smile and we both hoped that the customer would eventually bring her jacket back.
I get home.... beat. After all... 7 hours on my feet, only sitting to eat, other than that standing and walking all day. I just want to sit. My hubby (sorry if you are reading this and get your panties in a ruffle) asks something and I make mention that my feet hurt. He mentions something that totally makes me feel like I have no reason to complain over standing and walking for 7 hours. I remind him that he sits at a desk all day. He informs me that he ran 5.5 miles. Super........ you ran. I stood. I felt like it was a poor comparision. I felt like a wimp. I felt like I really wasnt good enough to run 5.5 miles. I felt like what I do doesnt matter.....
And then I decided I would write this and not give a shit! That if I see at least one smile on someones face at the end of the day. I have done something right as a supervisor and a person. If I can keep just one person coming back to the store.... me standing all day is more fufilling to me than worrying about running 5.5 miles.
So there...... and I will do it all over again tomorrow!

Happy Easter!

I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very Happy Easter. I hope your little ones are eating as much candy as mine are! May you have a great day!
On a different note, earlier in the week I was released to go back to work on Monday. I gave the note to my boss, she originally scheduled me for April 5th. That is too far away!! I cant wait that long to start earning money again. We spoke again yesterday, and while I am still going back as a supervisor, I will help out in the store where I am needed. Tomorrow, I will be a cashier again..... we will see how long that lasts.
So while I will be back to work, you can bet on some funny stories about that again!
I must cut this short as it is 9am.... I have been up for 3 hours.... and I am thinking it is time to get myself in the shower and get ready for the day! Plus, I got me some really cute bermuda shorts that I want to sport today. :o) I plan on taking pictures of the kids... both Hannah and Payton will be wearing dresses.... and Lauren... she is going for the not so emo look by wearing a pair of bermuda shorts as well. Couldnt decide if she actually likes them, or if she thinks that wearing them will get us off her butt about being emo.
And before I start going off about emo kids.... I will end here! Happy Easter once again!

Quick witted kid

Sometimes I do realize that I am getting paybacks for the things I did to my parents as a child. Take for example my 4 year old. While she may look like her daddy... have same witty comments as her daddy, she very much has my attitude. So the combination will make the next 14 years a very hard one to live.
Here is her latest:
Last night we were sitting down to dinner. She was bothering Payton by pulling on her and talking to her with a high pitched voice and frankly irritating me as well. I told her to stop and eat her dinner. She looked at me and said "What happens if I dont" I said "Mommy will have to spank you" so immediately, straight faced, she looks at me and starts singing "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer." I realize she does this to get herself out of trouble as I am sure she realizes that when she does it, it will get her out of trouble. Who can't help but laugh at that?!
I was cursed with 10 children just like me by my parents. One is enough. I dont want anymore! What am I gonna do if Payton turns out like this?! I really am sorry for the things I did to my parents when I was a kid!! Now.... please make it stop!

Spread the stupidity!

Saw this and had to post it here:

"Only in America ....do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front. Only in America ....do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke. Only in America ....do banks leave both d o ors open and then chain the pens to the counters. Only in America ......do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage. Only in America ....do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight. Only in America .. ..do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering. EVER WONDER ... Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin ? Why women can’t put on mascara with their mouth closed? Why don’t you ever see the headline ’Psychic Wins Lottery’? Why is ’abbreviated’ such a long word? Why i s it that doctors call what they do ’practice’? Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons? Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker? Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour? Why isn’t there mouse-flavored cat food? Why didn’t Noah swat those two mosquitoes? Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections? You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don’t they make the whole plane out of that stuff?! Why don’t sheep shrink when it rains? Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together? If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress? If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?"

Three Peckers

Couldnt help but post a second time today! This one is funny.
I was wearing my Woody Woodpecker shirt yesterday. I got it because it says Woody on it, and those of you who know my husband, knows that is what he goes by. Anyway, it says Woody and has three woody woodpeckers on it. Green, red and yellow.
I am sitting on the couch and Hannah comes up to me out of the blue and points.... "You have three peckers!" She was so excited! I didnt have the nerve to ruin it for her and tell her they were actually called Woodpeckers! I just laughed and agreed, that yes mommy has three peckers.... but only on her shirt! :0)

Shout out to Ken

So I went to high school and everyone who knew me back then could tell you that I was a bitch. That wasn't the case for a boy named Ken Collins. We were friends. We weren't the best of friends, but we spoke and hung out during class. As people do, we lost touch with each other after high school until about a year ago. He walked into my work and instantly remembered me. He would come into the store and we would talk, we kept in touch on myspace. He filled me in on his battle with canser and told me that the doctors were so impressed with the progress he had made. When looking at him, the doctors could hardly believe he suffered from cancer. His spirits were so high. He was always positive about what came next. He had just met someone very special and they were engaged to be married.
Unfortanely, he lost his battle with cancer yesterday. Things took a toll for the worse. And it happened so quickly. I am proud to say that I knew Ken. I will take our many talks from him as a blessing. He taught me how to have a positive outlook on life even when things are not going my way. I know I have another angel looking down on me from above!
And Ken, I will miss you my friend! I reached out to Shannon for you. I will be there for her. You were a true inspiration to all of us. May you rest in sweet peace my friend. You will never be forgotten, and will be greatly missed.

Playing Mommy

So my neighbor had her grand daughter, who is 3, over for the night. She and her were playing in the hot tub and Samantha says to Wanda (my neighbor) "Grams I will be the mommy you can be the baby." Wanda agrees, and after a while of playing baby, starts crying because she is hungry. Samantha lifts her shirt and says "OK this is where you come over and have some milk!!" Wanda says..... "This is where we do not play this game anymore until I figure out where you learned this!" LOL!
I am so glad to hear I am not the only one with a hellion!

Stolen Idea

I have a friend in whom I read her blogs faithfully (http://www.dearjenn.blogs.com/ ). She does something that I think is the most interesting thing. She has what she calls wordless Wednesday. It is simple. A post for Wednesday that is a picture. A simple picture. So beginning next week. I will start posting Wordless Wednesdays. You wont know my reasoning behind the post, only I will. :o) I hope you enjoy it! Thanks Jen for the idea!

The latest on School

I went to take the Accuplacer test this morning. I didnt even try on the math section. Wasnt even worth the embarrassment of trying! So I need to take one class before the prereq math class. I tested into the prereq english and will test into the prereq reading class. I say will because I was 2 points off on the reading so the advisor told me to just retest since it was only 2 points, it was easy to do. I did my orientation online... the only thing left is registering in April and then going in May!
Oh and just in case I hadnt mentioned it yet. If anyone knows anything about me, my "dream job" is to be a flight nurse. You know a nurse on a helicopter?! Well.... I am doing it... After all these years of saying it I am making my dream start to come true!!

The middle finger

How does one teach a child to not point with her middle finger?! As far back as I can remember with her she has never pointed to anything with the pointer finger. Its always been the middle finger! "Look mom I like her shirt (with the middle finger!)"
That is so embarrassing!! Whats worse is when she points at a plane in the sky!! Then the finger goes up... instead of sideways!!

Can you believe?

Well I have made my mind up. I am gonna start school! I am doing all the research needed to get done everything that needs to be done so I can register! I will keep you posted on my latest bout of spontaneity!

Pictures

My husband and I took the girls for pictures this afternoon. They were both over due to have their yearly photos done. So we go to this place called Portrait Innovations that we absolutely love taking them too. Not only are the portraits affordable, the photographers are great when working with children.
Hannah is a ham. We think she is gonna be a model, cause she loves getting pictures taken. It was quite funny to see some of her own poses! Then there was Payton. Ugh.... this girl hates pictures! Didnt matter who it was or what prop they tried to use, she cried. She always cries for pictures.
The funniest part of the day came when a girl came into the room to help the other photographer. She sat on the ground and did a quick choochie choochie coo... Payton looked at her and busted out in tears! SO the girl got up and ran out of the room rather quickly. The photographer started laughing and just yelled out "Thanks Katie!"
It was funny.... but that is my child! Guess she does take after mom.... I gotta know you first! LOL

Advice from a 4 year old

One thing about 4 year olds is that they have their own world they live in. They do things on their time and do things how they think they should be done. Take for example potty trainging a girl. You spend all this time teaching her that wiping needs to be done or she will get raw.
My 4 year old likes to call any piece of down yonder, her butt. And until she gets a little older I wont correct because it is one of those things... ya know?
Anyway, she still comes to us because she is raw from not wiping. We have to review wiping practices with her, wash her up, put desitin and then she is as good as new.
I just had a hysterectomy and the doctors also fixed something called a cystocele. Trying to explain to Hannah why mommy wasnt coming home from the hospital was something. I opted to just tell her that I had a belly ache and the doctors were going to fix me up and make it go away.
I came home from the hospital to lay around and do nothing. Hannah quickly picked up that something besides my tummy hurt. So to make it easier on her, I just said "Honey, mommys butt hurts." She looked at me will such seriousness and said "Well you should probably wipe it better and it wont!"
I tell you what.... this girl provides me hours of entertainment!

My Love Story

In honor of my husband and Valentines day I wanted to post my love story and encourage you to post your story about your mate, kid, friend, whoever your valentine is this year.I was in a marriage. I just moved back to Albuquerque with the intention of divorcing my then spouse. I took the first job that offered, at AOL. It was one of my first days of training class and I was standing outside with my friend Kelly when this guy started approaching her in this big 'ol bright yellow jacket. They spoke briefly about his Porsche, his boat, all his goodies that he had. He told his story and she told hers to catch each other up and he walked away. I remember thinking, wow that was so nice of you to introduce me to your friend, and who cares what this guy has! Anyway, I wasnt really into looking for anything because of the marriage I was ending. But I kept noticing him. I kept running into him, and I still didnt know his name. Kelly was out of work for awhile because of a medical problem she was having. I was having some trouble with a computer on the floor, saw this guy again, and said "Excuse me, Kelly's friend" he said, "yeah" I said "what do I do with this computer, it keeps freezing for no reason". He said "you do this and my name is Woody". He was holding the power button down... and I thought you punk. Not cool. He asked where Kelly was and showed some concern when I told him what happened. And again, he went on his way.We kept running into each other and I would see him in the smoking section and we would get to talking. Talking turned into hanging out just as friends. We quickly became such good friends. He would come over to my parents house, talk with them, and invite me to throw darts, shoot pool, hang with his friends, watch movies with him. Things like that. We both werent looking for anything. It was like my parents had a new friend around too. I never saw my dad talk to anyone the way he spoke to Woody.Time came where we thought we would try it as girlfriend/boyfriend and it still remained the same. The only difference was that I would spend all my time at his house. I had a key. I would come and go as I pleased. It was like I went there one day and we never seperated.About a year and some odd months into knowing him and dating him, he took me to dinner. I remember he was all dressed up and I thought I was so underdressed. I didnt think anything of it, he took me to dinner alot. I thought it was a bit peculiar when he ordered a second glass of wine. I went with it though and ordered me another glass. He brought up the subject of marriage, and that wasnt uncommon, we talked about it before. So we started talking about when he was going to propose. It was October, so I started rambling. Dont propose for Christmas, cause that wouldnt be fun. Dont propose for my birthday, cause that really isnt a birthday gift. Dont propose on Valentines Day cause that is obvious. And he reaches into his pocket and says "well actually", and as he gets down on his knee to propose, in the backround is some old lady saying rather loudly, "chivalry is not dead". She busted out with a camera and was taking pictures even! And so the plans began for our wedding and our lives together.Just over 7 years together, I still believe we are as happy now as we were back then. We are still great friends. We dont struggle like some of our friends do. We do have the occasional stupid fight. But I do believe with everything I am, that I have found my true love..... my life long parter... my very best friend.... and my soul mate. I am glad I had a few wrong ones in my life, before I find the right one.Happy Valentines Day Babe... I love you! I always will... you are still my everything!
