I could get used to this!

If you would have asked me two months ago about the thought of staying at home and not getting up in the wee hours of the morning to be at work five days a week at 6am, I would have told you that it was gonna suck! The thought of being a stay at home mom, really bugged me. I dont have patience to do something like that, and I like talking to adults rather than a child all day long. What could I possibly teach my kid?!

I take that back!!

I like the idea of it now! I really think I have the best job EVER!! I mean, we mastered potty training... we always drink out of big girl cups, no more sippy cups. We can count to 15 and sing our ABC's.
I get up when I want, usually no later than 7. I take as many breaks as I want in a single day. Use the phone and the internet when I feel like it!! I think I could get used to this not working stuff! I actually like it!
Every once in a while I go to lunch or do something with the neighbor lady.

I signed up to do a weeks co-leadering of the girl scout troop that Hannah is in! And I am providing Hannahs kindergarten class with their May Day snacks!
I finally made it in to the YMCA and took the girls swimming!

So excited about my new adventure!

And along the way, I HAVE managed to be a little less spazy and gain alot more patience! Imagine that!

One of those not so proud moments!

Today I decided to go Supernanny on Payton.

I was so frustrated after about the fifth time of putting her in time out that I said
"You are being a f*ckin monster today!" She promptly, responded "I'm not a f*ckin monster, I cookie monster!"

I guess she is feeling better!!

Sick sick go away....

Yesterday I discovered we could have the worlds crappiest insurance ever. I called the insurance company to verify we did have insurance with them and then they verified what I was wondering. We DO have the crappiest insurance company ever! The nearest Urgent Care center is 46.1 miles away. Thats great if you dont have a toddler with chronic ear infections. And super great if you dont have the accident prone daughter!
So the hunt was on to find a doctor that would take Payton in right away and get her what she needed to make her feel better. I actually called The Kearney Clinic and was able to get her in on a "walk in" right away. We saw the nicest doctor! I told her because of Payton and Hannahs history I came out with all of their medical records. She asked me if I had them with me. I told her I didnt bring them with me this visit because I wanted to make sure I liked her before I gave their medical records to her. She laughed and said she admired my honesty. Needless to say, I will be taking bot my girls and the medical records to this doctor!
So it turns out that Payton just has a case of the funk. Her tongue has been yellow the last few days and that is some sort of yeast infection I guess. They put a blue medicine on her tongue and it should clear it up. The doctor gave me a prescription for a cough medicine that should clear up her cough. And she said she does have fluid in the ear with the tube still in place. So, she is working on an ear infection. No antibiotics just yet. If she isnt better by Saturday, the doc wants me to call so she can call in another prescription.
Today, she still has the funk and still has that fever. I am hoping she gets better soon!

I am off to go take pictures of what she drew on the wall downstairs.... look for a post on that soon! It's entertaining!

Why... why.... WHY!!!

So today I am soooo tired.
One thing I hate about being in a new town is when your kid is sick, you dont know who to take them to so they will feel better.
We first moved here thinking we would have medical coverage at the beginning of the year. My hubby was the one guy to put his company over quota, so they denied him and the company now is on a different insurance plan. He says we were eligible on Feb 1, from what I see, it is March 1. Either way, my kid needs to see a doc.
Poor thing, coughed ALL.NIGHT.LONG! At one point she coughed so hard she puked.

We were well on our way to potty training and this cold came along and now she just doesnt want to use the potty.
F-R-U-S-T-R-A-T-E-D!!!

Just thought I would throw that out there.

On a positive note....

Hannah had her first night at Girl Scouts last night and absolutely loved it! She has a really nice troop leader. She is a little bummed that she started so late because the other girls were getting some patches, but because she wasnt there, she doesnt get them. There is always a next time!
