Where's the neck?

So we just got back from Tucson. Took the girls and went to the in-laws house for turkey day! It was the first time since Hannah was born that we have been out that way for Thanksgiving. That is our normal holiday that we spend out of town.
Thanksgiving was great! All the food.... yum! I think I gained 10 pounds on Thanksgiving alone! And I still have Christmas with my folks before they go to my brothers, then Christmas here!
On to the title of my blog and what it means!
My in laws are very proper. I love them though.... I am still my crazy self around them. I think after nearly 8 years.... they have accepted the person I am.
So, my husbands Godparents were in town for the holiday too. My mother in law makes the dressing, stuffs the bird and puts the rest of the dressing in another dish. Nancy, Woodys Godmother says "you should have put the turkey neck on the dressing to keep it moist" Ceil, my mother in law, says, "thats a good idea!" Nancy, "Where's the neck?" Ceil, "Where's the neck?" Woodys dad "Its in the trash, it is wrapped up in plastic, want me to get it?" and he walks away. Me, "By wrapped up in plastic are you meaning wrapped in the garbage bag?" Woody "So your gonna dig shit out of the garbage?" Me: "Um.... I think I am gonna pass on the dressing this year!" Ceil: "we will rinse it off" Just then my father in law walks up to the sliding glass door with the turkey neck in his hand. Woody "HE DUG IT OUT OF THE OUTSIDE TRASH!!" Me "and you guys thought I was ghetto?!" Needless to say, we all had a great laugh! And I dont think we will ever let my in laws live the turkey neck down!!
On a side note, I ate the dressing that was inside the turkey!

Subway... eat... what?

Finally, the Subway story!

Last weekend we were in a local Wal-mart looking for a filter for our humidifier. We saw Subway and thought, "That sounds good!"
Keep in mind from previous posts that my hubby decided to try and quit smoking and so he was on his man period at the same time! It was like walking on eggshells.
So we argue about who is gonna go up to the counter to order. I lost, up to the counter I went to order.
I ordered for me, a 6in BLT. The girl behind the counter, no lie, put 2..... TWO pieces of bacon on my sandwich! I said "Um, can I get a little more bacon on that?" SHe says "Its gonna cost extra!" WTF... cost extra for more than two freakin pieces of bacon?! My response "I dont care if it costs me extra, I would rather 4 pieces than 2!" So I paid 50 cents extra for TWO more pieces of bacon!
On to the fixin's. "Lettuce, could you take about half of the lettuce off. I mean 4 pieces of bacon, dont want to out do that with all that lettuce, I already have the bread for that!"
Woodys sandwich... the Albuquerque Turkey. That sandwich contains, turkey, 2 pieces of bacon, cheese, avocado and then the fixins. I get turkey, cheese two pieces of bacon and fixins. I was charged seperately for the albuquerque turkey, then bacon, cheese and avocado (in which I did not get). Woody threw it away! Jerk, right! Told you.... man period!
So I write to the Subway office and inform them of what took place at that Subway. My last line is probably the reason I still have yet to hear from them. I said, Subway boasts about Jared loosing weight on their sandwiches. He was probably eating at that location!!

I dont think I will dine at a Subway for some time!

You dont know me....

Before the subway blog, I gotta get this off my chest.

Have you ever come across the one person that believes they know you all too well but really dont? How about the person that makes you the butt of the jokes without knowing if in fact you can take it?

I gotta say I got my feelings hurt today.... cause someone apparently doesnt know me the way they think they do.

Some how while I was minding my own business at work, someone walks up to me laughing saying "how many times were you married"? Me being the way I am threw a few F bombs that persons way, and told them it wasnt their business!

Then thinking about it, I let them know the following (which is true, so you readers may learn a thing or two about me):

I have been married three times.
My first husband, thought it was cool to beat up on a girl. After many years of getting the shit kicked out of me, I married him and it lasted all of 8 months before I was the one charged with Battery. I bravely left without looking back, black and blue from head to toe!
My second husband, thought cheating and doing drugs was the manly thing to do. He tried to kick my ass once, but I beat him up and left. I was tired of providing just so he could go take his girls out and spend the money on his drug and alcohol habits.
I am now on my third marriage. It seems to be working out just fine. We have been married over 6 years now.
If this one doesnt work out.... that is it... I am switching teams!

All is true but the last line. So ask yourself this..... how well do you know a person before poking fun at something that may really hurt them on the inside. Cause ladies and gentleman, being married three times is NOT my proudest moment! I am soooo ashamed of it. I really am, and before anyone can throw stones, ask yourself if you too would have stayed married to either one of those men?!

ok, my rant is over.... I had to get it off my chest... cause well... it hurt and frankly, it still does!

And others things I have been doing

Well... besides mourning the loss of the NKOTB tickets (post below), I have been up to just about everything else too. My littlest one has been dealilng with chronic ear infections. A total of 8 or 9 since starting daycare on June 2nd. I have an ENT appointment this Friday. I plan on asking for tubes rather than waiting for them to suggest it. It is sad to think that I forget what my child is actually like, how happy she really is.
Payton, now will say some words... Bye.... c'mon, MINE, Hannah and her personal favorite... NO! She will say a few others here and there but really, why say anything at all when your big sister talks for you all the time!
I have not smoked a cigarette since Sept 6th!! I have had a few drags here and there when I drink, but it tastes nasty then, so I would rather not smoke at all! Yey for me!
I am poor..... very poor... what else is new!
Hannah started a dance class and comes home every Monday talking about the things she learns at dance class. Not very exciting, but it makes her day, so whatever... I will pretend to be happy for her.
What else....... I will be moving after the beginning of the year... kind of excited for that. Where, I dont know, but its a for sure that we are moving.
I got all the time back I earned when I went back to work full time! So exciting!! So I get 28 days off in 2009! Go me, right?!
It is coming up on the busy time at work, I have not had interest in the computer other than to post stupid status messages on facebook or myspace.
So, that is what I have been doing. I havent even had time to be the nosey neighbor I once was. My husband, recently decided to quit smoking and I will tell you what.... that man should really invest in some Midol while not smoking!! Wow.... talk about man period! It's rough! I dont quite like him without his nicotine! The big A to the double S comes to mind... (love you sweetie!)
Um... enough rambling for now.... I must go get my kid to bed!
I will be back again real soon..... promise!

Oh..... idea..... my next blog can be my rant about subway!! ugh! punks!

No, I did not die....

I am simply mourning the loss of my New Kids on the block tickets still!

Let me fill some of you in......
And no laughing while I tell the story.

In the 7th grade, I was picked by a friend to travel to Dallas to see my first concert ever.... New Kids in the Block. They came with the group Perfect Gentleman. I was allowed by my parents to go.... whew.... first plane ride, first concert. I was livin large!!
Here it is all these years later, and I hear NKOTB would be coming to my hometown! YES!!! How awesome is that?! Tickets were selling at a rate more than I cared to pay, so I told myself, the only way I would be going would be if I won them off the radio.
I played my cards right, one Monday morning, when my favorite radio show was giving away 5th row tickets.... that is close enough to push my way to center stage and get some sweat beads off my not so manly boys! Sweet..... I won the tickets! 5th row!!!
My heart was broken only a week later by the news that those little eff'rs cancelled the Albuquerque show! What?! You mean, my guys didnt want to play for the 1300 people who got tickets (most of which were probably won)?! But still, I actually cried tears when I listened to the same station I won them from, inform the listeners that they had cancelled. A woman, 33 years old, crying over some dudes that meant the world to her at 13! I am 33, who cares right?! I do!!! I wanted to see them, still after all these years!!!
So close........ so close to seeing them after all these years!
No words can tell you how I feel.........
