My daughter, Hannah, must remember everything she sees and hears.
One day last week while she was eating lunch I just kept hearing "It's my money and I want it now!" Who knows when that commercial was actually on the television.
This weekend she called my husband a "little effer" (but actually said the word) on a trip to the grocery store. She blames myself, my step daughter and my step son (who hasnt been here in over a year) on where she heard it from.
I am telling you... I understand now what they meant when people told me that kids hear and repeat everything you say! I wish I could take back most of what comes out of her mouth!! Maybe I will do it right with Payton.

Why I love Wal-mart
Some would wonder about me: Why I love working at Wal-mart?!
It isnt the pay.
It isnt the hours.
It isnt the job.
It is the people... people of all sorts. Pissed off, funny, old, young, happy, sad, sick, healthy, bitchy, stupid, smart... everyone shops at Wally world! And honestly if you read this, and dont shop there... you're missing HOURS of entertainment. Let me share last night with you.
My hours were 2:30 to 7. Oh boy was it a fun filled night! Hardly anyone in the store, but the ones in the store were all pissed off for one reason or another. I took complaints about the other supervisors that I thought were rather petty. I took them... and will give the girls hell later on down the road about it. I took a customer complaint about the way a door greeter moved the little hand held baskets. The paramedics were called cause yet another customer passed out. A sick little girl walked in the door and puked in the garbage can. We had the usual shoplifters and cops there. The cashiers all complained about hours. I had a customer yell at me because we couldnt cash a check for her. A customer told me (in front of the cashier) that he should get some thick glasses cause apparently he cant see shit. We even had the look-alikes in the store: Elvis was in the store with his massive beer gut all greased up with oil and no shirt. He did have his bedazzled jacket halfway buttoned up. We had the look-alike "Moe" from The Doodlebops in the store as well. And my biggest complaint of the night by myself was that I was farted on by a customer again!
And yet... I will put on my Wal-mart uniform tonight and go back for another night there at work! And this my friends is the reason why I love Wal-Mart~!
Oh and to the few happy shoppers out there! Thanks for not giving us any material to put on our blogs or tell our family and friends about! We appreciate you!! Happy Shopping!

What it did for me.....
So... 7 weeks ago I have major surgery on "my butt" (different post below).
Today I can tell you I dont know what is different about me, but there is something different. Do I just not want drama.... am I getting older.... am I really a serious person?! All these questions have yet to be answered. I am trying to figure it out for myself. I can tell I pulled back from everyone. I keep to myself more than ever. Why?! No idea. No one did anything to me... it's just me. I had a few bosses at work comment that I did not go back to work with a sense of humor. Both my parents have said I am not myself. Again... not sure why!
I am a rather boring person these days, I gave up smoking Feb 4th when I had my surgery. And what went from drinking wine a couple times a week..... has dwindled down to maybe once a month and that is only cause we are hanging with friends. Even our hanging with friends doesnt happen much anymore.
Maybe it is that I was attached to my uterus and I was sad to see it go?! Just kidding... I dont know what it is about.... only time will tell if the same me will come back or if this person is who I am? I will get back to you on that one!

Back to Work Report
So today was my first day back at work in 2 months. I was glad to be back, as were my employees glad to see me back. I love my children, but I do need to be away from them at times. Daycare is way too expensive for 2 kids, thus the reasoning behind a part time evening Walmart job! Gets me out of the house, makes me a few extra dollars... and gives me a discount on things I need!
Anyway, the day started off great! In the 2 months I have been gone, SO much has changed. It was like I would do one thing and the other supervisor would say, oh no that changed. Grrrr!!! I finally told the other gal I was working with to fill me in on what exactly my job was again.
As I went to leave, I had to put out a fire. Not literally, but a door greeter gave another door greeters jacket away to a customer! I know, what a dummy. But I did what I could. A measly walmart jacket could never replace the expensive jacket the gal lost, but she took it with a smile and we both hoped that the customer would eventually bring her jacket back.
I get home.... beat. After all... 7 hours on my feet, only sitting to eat, other than that standing and walking all day. I just want to sit. My hubby (sorry if you are reading this and get your panties in a ruffle) asks something and I make mention that my feet hurt. He mentions something that totally makes me feel like I have no reason to complain over standing and walking for 7 hours. I remind him that he sits at a desk all day. He informs me that he ran 5.5 miles. Super........ you ran. I stood. I felt like it was a poor comparision. I felt like a wimp. I felt like I really wasnt good enough to run 5.5 miles. I felt like what I do doesnt matter.....
And then I decided I would write this and not give a shit! That if I see at least one smile on someones face at the end of the day. I have done something right as a supervisor and a person. If I can keep just one person coming back to the store.... me standing all day is more fufilling to me than worrying about running 5.5 miles.
So there...... and I will do it all over again tomorrow!

Happy Easter!
I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very Happy Easter. I hope your little ones are eating as much candy as mine are! May you have a great day!
On a different note, earlier in the week I was released to go back to work on Monday. I gave the note to my boss, she originally scheduled me for April 5th. That is too far away!! I cant wait that long to start earning money again. We spoke again yesterday, and while I am still going back as a supervisor, I will help out in the store where I am needed. Tomorrow, I will be a cashier again..... we will see how long that lasts.
So while I will be back to work, you can bet on some funny stories about that again!
I must cut this short as it is 9am.... I have been up for 3 hours.... and I am thinking it is time to get myself in the shower and get ready for the day! Plus, I got me some really cute bermuda shorts that I want to sport today. :o) I plan on taking pictures of the kids... both Hannah and Payton will be wearing dresses.... and Lauren... she is going for the not so emo look by wearing a pair of bermuda shorts as well. Couldnt decide if she actually likes them, or if she thinks that wearing them will get us off her butt about being emo.
And before I start going off about emo kids.... I will end here! Happy Easter once again!

Quick witted kid
Sometimes I do realize that I am getting paybacks for the things I did to my parents as a child. Take for example my 4 year old. While she may look like her daddy... have same witty comments as her daddy, she very much has my attitude. So the combination will make the next 14 years a very hard one to live.
Here is her latest:
Last night we were sitting down to dinner. She was bothering Payton by pulling on her and talking to her with a high pitched voice and frankly irritating me as well. I told her to stop and eat her dinner. She looked at me and said "What happens if I dont" I said "Mommy will have to spank you" so immediately, straight faced, she looks at me and starts singing "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer." I realize she does this to get herself out of trouble as I am sure she realizes that when she does it, it will get her out of trouble. Who can't help but laugh at that?!
I was cursed with 10 children just like me by my parents. One is enough. I dont want anymore! What am I gonna do if Payton turns out like this?! I really am sorry for the things I did to my parents when I was a kid!! Now.... please make it stop!

Spread the stupidity!
Saw this and had to post it here:
"Only in America ....do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front. Only in America ....do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke. Only in America ....do banks leave both d o ors open and then chain the pens to the counters. Only in America ......do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage. Only in America ....do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight. Only in America .. ..do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering. EVER WONDER ... Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin ? Why women can’t put on mascara with their mouth closed? Why don’t you ever see the headline ’Psychic Wins Lottery’? Why is ’abbreviated’ such a long word? Why i s it that doctors call what they do ’practice’? Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons? Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker? Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour? Why isn’t there mouse-flavored cat food? Why didn’t Noah swat those two mosquitoes? Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections? You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don’t they make the whole plane out of that stuff?! Why don’t sheep shrink when it rains? Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together? If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress? If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?"

Three Peckers
Couldnt help but post a second time today! This one is funny.
I was wearing my Woody Woodpecker shirt yesterday. I got it because it says Woody on it, and those of you who know my husband, knows that is what he goes by. Anyway, it says Woody and has three woody woodpeckers on it. Green, red and yellow.
I am sitting on the couch and Hannah comes up to me out of the blue and points.... "You have three peckers!" She was so excited! I didnt have the nerve to ruin it for her and tell her they were actually called Woodpeckers! I just laughed and agreed, that yes mommy has three peckers.... but only on her shirt! :0)

Shout out to Ken
So I went to high school and everyone who knew me back then could tell you that I was a bitch. That wasn't the case for a boy named Ken Collins. We were friends. We weren't the best of friends, but we spoke and hung out during class. As people do, we lost touch with each other after high school until about a year ago. He walked into my work and instantly remembered me. He would come into the store and we would talk, we kept in touch on myspace. He filled me in on his battle with canser and told me that the doctors were so impressed with the progress he had made. When looking at him, the doctors could hardly believe he suffered from cancer. His spirits were so high. He was always positive about what came next. He had just met someone very special and they were engaged to be married.
Unfortanely, he lost his battle with cancer yesterday. Things took a toll for the worse. And it happened so quickly. I am proud to say that I knew Ken. I will take our many talks from him as a blessing. He taught me how to have a positive outlook on life even when things are not going my way. I know I have another angel looking down on me from above!
And Ken, I will miss you my friend! I reached out to Shannon for you. I will be there for her. You were a true inspiration to all of us. May you rest in sweet peace my friend. You will never be forgotten, and will be greatly missed.

Playing Mommy
So my neighbor had her grand daughter, who is 3, over for the night. She and her were playing in the hot tub and Samantha says to Wanda (my neighbor) "Grams I will be the mommy you can be the baby." Wanda agrees, and after a while of playing baby, starts crying because she is hungry. Samantha lifts her shirt and says "OK this is where you come over and have some milk!!" Wanda says..... "This is where we do not play this game anymore until I figure out where you learned this!" LOL!
I am so glad to hear I am not the only one with a hellion!

Stolen Idea
I have a friend in whom I read her blogs faithfully (http://www.dearjenn.blogs.com/ ). She does something that I think is the most interesting thing. She has what she calls wordless Wednesday. It is simple. A post for Wednesday that is a picture. A simple picture. So beginning next week. I will start posting Wordless Wednesdays. You wont know my reasoning behind the post, only I will. :o) I hope you enjoy it! Thanks Jen for the idea!

The latest on School
I went to take the Accuplacer test this morning. I didnt even try on the math section. Wasnt even worth the embarrassment of trying! So I need to take one class before the prereq math class. I tested into the prereq english and will test into the prereq reading class. I say will because I was 2 points off on the reading so the advisor told me to just retest since it was only 2 points, it was easy to do. I did my orientation online... the only thing left is registering in April and then going in May!
Oh and just in case I hadnt mentioned it yet. If anyone knows anything about me, my "dream job" is to be a flight nurse. You know a nurse on a helicopter?! Well.... I am doing it... After all these years of saying it I am making my dream start to come true!!

The middle finger
How does one teach a child to not point with her middle finger?! As far back as I can remember with her she has never pointed to anything with the pointer finger. Its always been the middle finger! "Look mom I like her shirt (with the middle finger!)"
That is so embarrassing!! Whats worse is when she points at a plane in the sky!! Then the finger goes up... instead of sideways!!

Pictures
My husband and I took the girls for pictures this afternoon. They were both over due to have their yearly photos done. So we go to this place called Portrait Innovations that we absolutely love taking them too. Not only are the portraits affordable, the photographers are great when working with children.
Hannah is a ham. We think she is gonna be a model, cause she loves getting pictures taken. It was quite funny to see some of her own poses! Then there was Payton. Ugh.... this girl hates pictures! Didnt matter who it was or what prop they tried to use, she cried. She always cries for pictures.
The funniest part of the day came when a girl came into the room to help the other photographer. She sat on the ground and did a quick choochie choochie coo... Payton looked at her and busted out in tears! SO the girl got up and ran out of the room rather quickly. The photographer started laughing and just yelled out "Thanks Katie!"
It was funny.... but that is my child! Guess she does take after mom.... I gotta know you first! LOL
